About LICYPAA
LICYPAA is an acronym for Long Island Conference of Young People in Alcohlics Anonymous, and basically we are a comittee compiled of primarily young people, although not limited to joined together to stay sober, and help other alcoholics achieve sobriety.
Purpose:
We have established the fellowship of Long Island Conference of Young People in Alcoholics Anonymous as a testament to the success of recovery from the tyranny of alcohol through dependence on a higher power of our own understanding, working the Twelfth Step of service to others, and unity through fellowship.
It is our intention to unite all young A.A.’s of Long Island in the tradition of our founders to bring the message of recovery to the still suffering alcoholic.
Mission:
It is our mission to:
- Reach out to those alcoholics everywhere including institutions, schools, and at meetings.
- Gather support to eventually hold a LICYPAA Convention.
- Host annual events to celebrate the gift of recovery.
